Who’s Erin?
Hey! That’s me! I’m a creative media and educational consultant who delights in conceiving characters and exploring the joy and complexities of the relationships and worlds in which they wander.
As an early childhood educator, I discovered how deeply media permeates the lives of children and recognized the intrinsic power it has to make positive change. While working in community outreach at thirteen/WNET New York, I created educational initiatives and developed support materials to enhance and extend PBS preschool programming. I was awarded a graduate assistantship to study public media from The Ohio University School of Media Arts and Studies and WOUB Public Media, where I focused on children’s production.
A content producer at heart, I landed in creative development at Little Airplane Productions, where I managed the development slate and the Little Airplane Academy. I am currently completing an MFA in Writing for Young People at Lesley University, and developing projects that open eyes and open hearts, right here at The Whimsy Collective.
I am the mother of three children who consistently challenge me to put child development theory to practice, test my creativity, and my capacity to laugh hysterically without peeing my pants.
